William L. Gordon - Bill is Managing Director for The New England Company and is responsible for the introduction of institutional investment management services that are appropriate for family offices and institutions.     With over 35 years in the financial service industry, he was most recently a Managing Member of Dix Hills Partners, LLC and served as the company's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Compliance Officer until its sale in June 2017.  At Dix Hills Partners, he grew the firm from $700,000 to $1.1 billion in AUM in 7 years, during which the firm sold partial stakes to two entities, including Federated Investors, Inc. a listed NYSE investment management firm.

Prior to starting Dix Hills Partners in July 2003, he launched a hedge fund focused on institutions and family offices.  Until 2001, Mr. Gordon served as Managing Director, Institutional Business Unit of Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, a subsidiary of UBS/PaineWebber.  Prior to UBS/PaineWebber, he spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, and holding several management positions, including Managing Director, Institutional Marketing and Managing Director, Prime Brokerage/Securities Lending.  All his roles involved hedge funds, alternative investment strategies and/or private equity, along with developing appropriate asset allocation strategies across the major institution types.  His primary career focus has involved advising institutions, pension funds and family offices regarding investments and portfolio strategies.  Mr. Gordon holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and maintains his Series 7, 63 and 24 licenses at Arthur Wood.  You can view the background of this investment professional on FINRA BrokerCheck.
